Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Barista role based at Pū Kena Coffee in Aiea, HI. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to shop standards, as well as handling food preparation for pastries and light menu items. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the POS system, handling payments, and providing attentive, friendly customer service. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies, and following health and safety guidelines. Baristas collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations, consistent product quality, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach to guests and team members.
• Clear and respectful communication skills, including the ability to listen, ask questions, and convey information accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability in attendance and time management, with flexibility to work mornings, afternoon, or weekends.
• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is beneficial but not required.
